DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From San Francisco, the Peninsula, and East Bay, access US Route 101 in Marin County via the Golden Gate Bridge or the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. Proceed north on US Route 101 to the Lucas Valley Road exit, a few miles north of the Marin Civic Center. At the off-ramp, turn left and drive west under the freeway on Lucas Valley Road, remaining on Lucas Valley over the hills and through a stand of Redwoods until you come to a stop sign at t-intersection with Nicasio Valley Road, approximately nine miles from the freeway. At this intersection, take a right and drive through the village of Nicasio. Continue north on Nicasio Valley Road past the Nicasio reservoir (on your left) to a t-intersection stop with the Point Reyes Petaluma Road.

Take a left turn and travel west on Point Reyes Petaluma Road until you descend a hill past the dam (on your left) and arrive at a stop sign at another t-intersection. Take a right and cross the small platform bridge and continue for approximately two miles to a stop sign at the t-intersection with State Route 1. Take a left and proceed over the slight rise and descend the hill into the small town of Point Reyes Station.

At the bottom of the hill, State Route 1 turns left onto what is Main Street in town, but you should not turn left but rather proceed straight on what is Fourth Street. Proceed west on Fourth Street for two blocks, past the West Marin Emergency Service Center on the right, and then take a left on C Street (where Fourth Street ends). Drive one block south on C Street. 180 Third Street is behind the tall hedge at the corner of C and Third Streets. Annie’s Cottage can be most easily accessed through the small gate in the hedge (with "180" on it), and then via the path on the left of the house, which leads to the back door of the cottage.

From Sacramento and other central valley locations, you may take the Highway 37 exit from I-80 and proceed west to Highway 37’s intersection with US Route 101, a few miles south of Novato. From that point, drive south approximately five miles to the Lucas Valley Road exit and follow the directions set forth above.
